Fancy Lake Yeashow Villa

Thank you for the free upgrade. The room was cooling enough with the ceiling fans :) Receptionist was friendly enough to guide us on the nearby trails and parks. Only thing was the soundproofing as we could feel vibrations and sounds of the bells in the middle of the night... Overall, its rather worth the money! Convenient location too! :)

Very clean and comfy! Convenient location and really lovely service. Since we stayed for three nights and they had the availability, they upgraded our room to one with a pretty view of the mountains. I also left a device here by accident and they mailed it to a local address for me! I really appreciate it.

Fantastic place! English speaking staff and very warm greeting. Mrs. Wang and her family run the place with lots of love and care. I got a spacious room on the third floor with a beautiful view of mountains and the village. The breakfast (8am sharp) was traditional Taiwanese and quite an experience for me as a foreigner - absolutely loved it. Room was clean with comfy mattress and even had a desk to work on, bathroom is basic but spotless clean. Strong wifi. I highly recommend this place.

This is a conveniently located and comfortable hotel. The young staff member was really helpful on arrival, explaining everything about where to find things in the town, and how and when the buses and trains go up and down the mountain. This was very helpful. The rooms are small but comfortable and clean. The hotel also facilitates a free evening walk to see the fireflies each night.

Lovely family-run hotel in Fenqihu! We booked last minute and were welcomed with excellent hospitality. The owner speaks English, gave us great advice on when to leave for Alishan and where to eat in town, and even upgraded us to a larger room. The room was simple but clean — perfect for a night’s stay. Truly outstanding service!

We stayed for two nights and recommend this hotel. Location was convenient. Staff was nice, English speaking and informative (they gave us a whole Alishan itinerary when we arrived that we followed). They also upgraded our room to a larger one with a decently nice view. Rooms were clean and they changed our towels. Note that they did not serve breakfast as some other reviewers have mentioned.

The location is a bit in the middle of nowhere and the public transport options are a bit limited but perfect if you are looking for a place away from the city. The room was nice and quiet with a view on the mountains. We initially booked another room but since there weren't many guests we got an upgrade for free. The staff was super friendly and helpful, they explained us where we can go and how which helped so much because Google maps was not always correct with public transport schedules but the staff knew. Also they made our laundry for free. Thank you so much

Very nice and clean rooms. no ac, but none needed as it's located at about 1400m in the mountains and the air is really good there. friendly staff that speaks good English and is very helpful. I can personally recommend the cedar wood path through the beautiful landscape. the train station and many shops and restaurants are literally down (or up) the road (a 30 second walk to the first one) and the views are amazing (if you booked the room on the right side). one thing: only cash (at least when we were there). the 7-Eleven was also cash only one morning, so maybe there are intermittent problems with electronic payment in the village so I wouldn't hold that against the hotel. all in all, really really nice and if I ever come back to visit I will stay in this hotel!
